Spennymoor will have to play a minimum of two games every week (and three in some) to make up their backlog before the last day of the season. There can be no extension because of the play-offs, which they will probably be in - I think they've got too much to do now to achieve automatic promotion, especially given Radcliffe's recent form. (I forbear to mention ours....)
its in spennymoors our own hands 5 games in hand on ferriby and radcliffe 6 games in hand on witton spennymoor can even lose 1 and still be ahead of all 3, witton are 7 points ahead and 6 games more so count them out, its down to spennymoor ferriby and radcliffe, or even alfreton for the top 2 spots, i firmly beleave it will be spennymoor and alfreton, and if spennymoor take 3 points off alfreton you never know spennymoor could even end above them,
Our recent poor run certainly means nothing is cut and dried yet. We still have to play Radcliffe twice, and Spennymoor and Ferriby at home, not to mention Matlock and Witton away. Some tough games to come. I just hope we can bounce back.
Spennymoor will have to play a lot better than they did yesterday to make the playoffs. With recent defeats against Radcliffe, North Ferriby and Chorley, could it be that they struggle against the better teams in the league?
Spennymoor will do well to finish in the top two given the amount of games they've got to make up. At the moment you've got to fancy Radcliffe and Alfreton for the automatic places and either one of those two for the title.
