Somehow I don't th ink the fat lady has even cleared her throat yet, or decided what or whose tune she will be singing.
To be honest I would like to think we are more consistent than Ferriby and can secure 2nd spot, as for top spot, well your slump can't go forever, can it??????
Anyway we have two massive fixtures against each other if either team does the double then that will be a massive factor.
If Alfreton do it - Then the gap will be too much,
If Boro do it, then the confidence of both teams will be affected accordingly.
Its gonna go all the way, this season, just likes it meant to do.
Congratulations to Radcliffe on your current consistent form. If anyone read the Non-league Paper today it is looking as if the whole exercise is going to be pointless. If Moules and the Conference get their way then the top 14 or so teams in Division 1 will all be promoted, or stand still whichever way you look at it.
I still cannot believe thay would move the goal posts in mid-season but with the FA currently leaderless that may be what will happen, (and, presumably Hyde will again be reprieved - but, that was always in the script, of course!).
Spoke to a good source from within the unibond on saturday< he has often refused to answer the questions re what is happening next year>
this weekend was different a was quite adamant that it is looking quite certain that this season will finish in a normal matter.
Although this is the Unibond and God knows what could happen.
Regards and don't count yerselfs out of the equation, could be cracking final game of the season.
I was more than a little concerned by yesterday's editorial in the NLP, which seemed to be supporting the new Conference set-up for next season, regardless of the fact that goalposts will have been moved at this late stage of the season, or of the chaotic knock-on effect lower down the pyramid. The article took no account at all of the fact that the large number of applications is not an indication that it is what the clubs themselves want. Those applications are made purely and simply from fear of being left behind if they don't. Don't let Moules tell you any different. Don't be fooled by his propoganda.
What was worse, the NLP editorial seemed to imply that even if it is delayed for a year, it will still be only those clubs who have already applied who would be admitted. So what about clubs promoted this season? I repeat my often-asked but still unanswered question. Why is the man Moules in such a hurry? What is he frightened of if it doesn't happen this summer?
I really hope that we don't stay up as a result of someone else's misfortune again. We should be palying Div 1 football right now, everyone knows that. While I'd love us to stay up (not very likely!) I want to do it on the pitch, not because we have a good setup and a bit of history.
