If the play-off match is delayed between Chorley and Gateshead, it is only going to cause the winner of the tie problems when it comes to preparing for the final.
Radcliffe or North Ferriby will have one or two day more to recover after their semi-final, while our match could go to extra-time and penalties to exaggerate the situation. Tired legs will not help either sides chances.
Gateshead were told well over a week ago about the problems regarding their "home" venue in the play-offs, so why wait until after the regular season ends to complain. All this could have been sorted out by now, and either Gateshead could have been travelling to Manchester/Liverpool to play Chorley, or we could have been on our way to Scotland! I hear the Open University does a great Geography course and you can do it without leaving your front door and so there is no risk of getting lost!
As for 20 stewards for 180 people, that might be the gate for a normal relegation battle for Gateshead. But if Chorley do have to travel (and there is sufficient time for supporters to get organised) then I can see us taking around 100 fans north, similar to the numbers we took to Stocksbridge on Saturday, so you might need 30 stewards!
