According to the official swfc website Wednesday will be sending an under 19 side to Queensgate on Saturday and the match is not even considered to be relevent enough to get a mention in their list of pre-season friendlies.

i was under the impression that sheff wednesday under 19's were sheffs best side. At least they were not relegated. Under the circumstances sheff wed are taking the match very seriously. onwards and upwards.

nice to see the so called bigger teams looking after the smaller teams - if they were still up there as a big team i bet sheff weds wud have jumped at the chance to send a good squad down - no offence to the under 19s or whoever they are.....

good luck brid:)

Brid Town vs Sheff Weds

When the fixture was arranged it was probably agreed that Wednesday would "only" be sending an under 19 squad to Queensgate. They do, after all, have a high-profile match against Newcastle United on Friday evening and let's be honest, which fixture do you think is going to get priority? It'll be a good work-out for Brid Town, no matter what level their opponents play at, and I bet the under 19s will be no push-overs!
