with pre season nearly over and the real thing just around the corner has anyone got that feeling that their team aint good enough or are we all that confident of silverware in the boardroom next may. hope its the latter weve all got something to play for or lose this season. lets make 2003/04 season one of the best in the unibond
I'm fairly confident the Magpies will be up there at the end of the season, but battling for just one place in the UniBond First means no slip ups can be made and you've got to have a good start.
This season's First Division isn't a marathon, just a bloodly long sprint.
chorley were best team to visit causeway lane and the way they ended the season they are my tip for the 1st division with belper a close second and if we, matlock, can be more consistant, up there too
Hopefully my team Bridlington will be there our there about, we have a good squad of over 20 players if we can hold onto all of them we have a great chance to finish in a high position.
While out team is 100% better than the one that struggle for survival last season we have had a poor pre-season - in every friendly we have dominated the game but failed to convert our chances. Unless we can find a striker soon I cannot see us making the Conf Div 2.
Alfreton have already got one cup in the bag- the Debyshire Centenary Cup in a 2-0 win over a strong Chesterfield side. However,we are talking about the league and there are always doubts in the back of any fan's mind whatever they may say. This is normal pre-season "nerves".Can I wish all clubs a good season, except ,of course, when they play us!!
