OK, so we all hate refs and refs and refs, we all fogging hate refs.....especially when Andy Mac was sent off against Harrogate for next to nowt...but too few people actually know the rules of the game.
Too many times I hear people saying things like 'that was a late flag liner' etc, there's nothing to say a flag has to go up immediately, an official has to consider whether passive players become active, etc.
If you think I'm talking bollocks try these for size..
How many laws of the game are there, how many different bookable offences are there (name them) and how many sending off offences are there (name them)?
The winner gets a free signed poster of David Elleray and a free two week ban from the FA.
Answers later in the week.

The first rule we learnt on my course was that you never, ever critise another official. Standards are obviously slipping ;-)

And I thought "striking or attempting to strike", along with "tripping or attempting to trip" (which included holding down an opponent, bizarrely) were penal offences.

But it has been 11 years, so maybe things have changed.

Anyone who pays their £5 or whatever is entitled to slag off the ref as part of their rights as 'the customer', however i bet you slagged off refs less after doing your class 2 than before you did it?
I'm only a class 3 but i'm also a uefa qualified coach, so can i slag off the managers too?
I'm sure you know your footie same as i do, but congratulations on not only remembering the rules, but also getting them in exactly the same order as they appear in the laws of the game booklet.
Fair play to you chief you know your stuff, but so many other folk don't!
