To be honest, the fact that we had a player banned for last nights game and you had to playing who should of at least been investigated is a little unfortunate. However, the result last night, however much it might have been affected by these decisions, does mean that the better of the two teams is likely to be at Sheffield, so I've no gripe with that.
However, for two decisions to happen just days apart - One where the committee are asked to look at a cross check and they then spotted something in a fight afterwards that they deemed worth a suspension, and another where they receive complaints about an incident, but don't look because the complaints hadn't come from the club or ref (As in the first case) is a little too much.
Consistency is always a problem and we can always point to instances of inconsistencies, but not in the same week and presumably, now that there is a three man committee for these things, arising from the same meeting.
That is OTT!
As for the result - However much it might have been affected by the disciplinary committee, the fact still remains that Steelers are a far better side than the Bees. Although I would love to see the Bees in Nottingham (Although I doubt if I will be in a fit state to see any team in Nottingham) the fact remains that Steelers are more deserving, so I can assure you it's not sour grapes at all.
