Friends of Eagles Hockey (FOEH) have announced that they will host a public meeting next Wednesday 23rd April at Tholos Bar beginning at 6.45pm to bring all ice hockey fans and indeed all fans of ice sports up to date with the latest position regarding the future.
A spokesman for FOEH said: "We are absolutely determined to keep the issue of the future of Centrum in the limelight as we know there are a great many people in the local community and beyond that cannot contemplate the doors to Scotland's finest ice facility remaining closed - as they have been since our 'Big Match' on the 4th of February."
"FOEH are inviting a representative of each of the 4 main political parties to attend and state where they stand on this issue and we trust they appreciate that this is an opportunity for them to get ice sports fans 'onside' with them in the lead up to the local elections on May 1st."
"The night can also be seen as an opportunity for a question and answer session with FOEH and we will endeavour to give full and frank answers as best we can, taking into account requests of confidentiality from others interested in the future of Centrum and ice hockey locally."
It is also a night just to meet fellow hockey fans again, have a natter and a few drinks and utilise the large video screen at Tholos for some images of previous great hockey nights involving Ayr Scottish Eagles.
Paul Heavey will also be there on the night to meet the fans and 'talk hockey' and there will be the opportunity to purchase any of the remaining tickets for the FOEH Race Night/Shirt Auction at the Space Place on Saturday 26th April.
Tickets for the Race Night/Shirt Auction can still be obtained by post.
