Last night's refereeing was quite the most perverse performance I have ever witnessed. If it's reffing like that or nawt I choose nawt.
I could almost believe that it was intentionally biased (Not incompetent - corrupt!) It was THAT bad.
HOWEVER . . . It disguised the fact that the Steelers as a team were rubbish. How could the gutsy team in the third period be so awful earlier in the same game. It suggests to me that they have it in them (whatever it is that makes a good team) but with a few superb exceptions they just can't make it work.
For the wrong reasons perhaps I thought last night, as a night out, was quite entertaining. There was some good hockey in there.
cos you certainly havent got owt constructive to comment on have you..Funny isnt it..I didnt notice you on the Pantherslair GB having a shot at the Panthers fans for issuing forth simmilarly about a particular ref...
Were you there on Saturday night then, just out of interest?
Those who did not see the game last night, will think all the comments about Boniface are sour grapes, however it was the worst/most biased piece of referreeing I have seen in 11 years, made even more pathetic by the 3 late even up calls Boniface calleda in the last 5 mins. HOWEVER does not take away that for the first two periods we were the worst of two bad teams. Our defence was appaling, the two power play goals were some of the worst penalty killing I have ever seen, you let forwards stand in front of your net, unattended and not move them it leads to tip in goals, exactly what happened. The third was one of the best shots we have seen at the arena for a longtime. The fourth was dodgy, a man in the crease, the fifth a goalkeeping error. Then in the thrid period we turn it on, and although greer played a blinder with 47 shots on goal we should have pulled it back to even. We have to admit that this eason we are a poor team, with defenders who cannot defend, and forwards who in general do not know how to score. If we have money to spend within the wagecap then spend it to give us a good end to the season, if not then I hope NL releases enough funds to build a better team next season.

Sorry to reply to this.
First I was the worst referee in the UK as far as Sheffield steelers concerned.
Second, everybody is still bitching about the referees.
Nothing has changed, TO BAD.
Nico as far as i and many other panthers fans were concerned u were the best by far and still would be today. i would gladly welcome u back and cheer u onto the ice as if u were a past player. When u refereed our games noone took liberties with u or other players and u called the game imho as fairly as was humanly possible with not bias shown i thank you for your time and effort invested in the game in this country it was most appreciated by me at least.

All this talk of corrupt referees all sounds so familiar eh? u talk about corrupt referees i find it very hard to compare boniface to what carson did against us last time he reffed there afterall he could only call penalties on one team? how many 5-3 did bracknell have? how many goals did they score with a 2 man disadvantage? mmm thought so sounds like what was quoted at us at the time "it all evens out and what goes around comes around" swallow it we had too unless of course u guys complained to the ISL about the poor refereeing at the time? no didnt think so just took the points and shutup eh
