what bag searching?? where was that going on?? we didn't get any where we went in or around. But you know maybe they were doing it cos sales were down or summat. I know I almost always take my own drinks in.
That's the reason y they r searching the bags...Heaven forbid we pay 30p for a can of pop at the local shop...don't you see we must pay £20 for the watered down version at the HOS! Bring the prices down HOS then u won't have to search!!
....and don't quote me on this, not sure of accuracy, but I think security shoulda been doing it all along, on the policy of the Arena, not the Steelers. For all other events (that Rock Steady don't cover), like concerts, etc, they always search bags, especially those over a certain size.
Didn't really affect me on Saturday, tho. Luckily my drink/food wasn't in the one pocket (outta 7) that they searched!!
I think they look for cameras/recording equipment too. (so why they've never called me up on my camera bag is beyond me, do I look like an official photographer or something?? =;)
My tip?? Take a teddy!! They never search their bags (must be their innocent faces or summat), not even in MEN - bag search capital of the ISL!!!
and we had a cup being held by our daughter from the very nice fast food outlet over the road from the Arena. Could be the innocent look on her face as nothing has ever been said about not being able to take the drinks in with her, and she is often carrying one openly in her hand.
