Whispers are another Irish side will be in the re-vamped ISL next season, along with Cardiff, Coventry and a couple more.
Rumours are the league will be regionalised!
there isnt another arena in Norn Ireland. Also The dublin franchise is all but dead and buried, as it was opped by the oppositon party. so unless Bertie 'ahearn' wins the next election there wont be an arena!
Also Cardiff wont be about for several years, if ever, and the only way it could be regionalised is if the BNL and ISL joined together! which would then contradict the 5000 all seater arena rule that the ISL have, though it isnt adhered to, but for reasons that most of us know about!!
In European Hockey it is not unheard of for teams to share arena's
In Finland, Tappara and Ilves Tampere Share.
In Sweden, AIK and Djurgården (Stockholm) share.
Why not 2 teams out of the "O"?
I'm told it can be fairly difficult to fit in 24 ice hockey matches, what with Westlife, motocross, boxing Disney on Ice etc, etc. Scheduling would be a nightmare!
