I dont know about anybody else, but this weekend seems to be evoking more excitement here at Scuff Towers than a few that have been before..more so than last year even..Maybe its because after what was threatening to be a humdrum make do and mend season, the players realised what was really at stake here in Sheffield. That we do actually have now a proud tradition at the HOS..Ten years of it(admitted its not the 146 years that the Panthers have 8-) ) but its down in stone now and we have managed to fill our trophy cabinet up over them years. Its what most of realised during the summer too. That whether you supported the ISL bid or CJS bid, the name and the passion and life that the Steelers have brought to thousands here in the Peoples Republic should not and has not been allowed to fade into the past..and through that we now find ourselves on the eve of YET ANOTHER PLAYOFF FINAL WEEKEND...Those players that have gotten us there are hopefully gonna find out just what being a Steeler means tomorrow..

I'm afraid I haven't got the tingle of excitement just yet.

However, I've just put my Steelers shirt on, a pint of Stella has just been poured and I'm off downstairs to pop a Steelers video in (probably the season review when we won our first championship).

What's the odds of me being back on here in 2 hours with a serious dose of excitement?

It took a little time to get me back to the game on a regular basis but since Christmas the buzz was back and I attended most games. Regardless of the outcome this weekend, the team has already done more than I could have hoped for. Done more than 2 other teams who did not have the shenanighans over the summer.

I will not be there this year, but I'll be tuned in on my wireless.

Well said Scuff. At the end of last years final all I felt was a sense of relief that we had made it to the end of the season. Setting off in half an hour, been excited all week!!!
