Ron's got other ideas. Big interview with him on thisissheffield and he makes it clear he wants to carry on ISL hockey, with us preferably.

Oh and apparently the ISL is denying thay IT has left... well they would... they'll keep denying it until they're ready to make an announcment.

Oh, and Ally's bound to leave... I had my shirt done with his name and number on this year so i've jinxed him 8)

........shouldn't be retired until 2 or 3 years after he retires (again!) That is the tradition.

Retire it to soon and a player cannot make a comeback. Take Pittsburgh for example. It's a good job they didn't retire Lemieux's jersey when he retired.

Now this is where I get the hate mail. Ron did an excellent job for us this year, but lets be honest. At times he was struggling and it was only his superior vision that saved him. Let's have good memories of Shud's not ones of him struggling to cope.

It was retired when he "retired" in 1997.

.........I didn't think they had done. Still it does prove what can happen if a jersey is retired too soon.
