Now that Mr Taylor has left his post at the ISL, I think it is time that all the owners got together (That does include Uncle Zeller, for although we all hate him, he does know how to do something successful, and after listening to him in Nottingham he knows a thing or two) and got a grip with the league. With the help of Mr Storry as head of ISL we can make the league a success that we all know it should be. The 'Winter Cup' should be brought back and other things should change, of which there is too many things to talk about with not much time at da mo!)

I don't know what other people think, but I believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel at last!!!!!

Same as the old boss?

May 2 2002, 4:38 PM

I have seen all the flak directed at Ian Taylor, but I've never been sure whether he was the problem or just the focus of attention. In other words were the problems down to him not being up to the job or the ISL board (ie the nine/seven team owners) interfering and not letting him get on with things?

I'm not particularly trying to defend him or criticise the Board, it's just my innate sense of fair play.

Obviously if Brian Storey leads the league to a roaring success then my question is answered. Equally if things stay as they are...
