Well with an experienced coach you'd do well, but not sure on the capabilities of Adey as a coach. Just think it's weird you seem to have jumped in and started signing up players while the rest are just waiting, inexperience from Adey?

Put it this way, come September i'd much prefer Blazer behind our bench than Adey. As for your comments on being the best fans in the league, well I won't even comment on that.

Chris

Best fans?

May 2 2002, 10:47 PM

I agree. The best fans in the country will have loads to cheer by the end of next season (just like this year). I can't work out what this has to do with the Pussy Cats though who never seem to have anything to cheer!

I`m disagreeing there, how can you say you ve got the best fans, in what way do you mean. Even when your teams doing poorly, yours fans dessert the HOS and the place feels ans sounds like a cematery., god knows what the away following are like!! unlike the impressive NIC thats why we find it easy to attract big names and when you know you ve got players phoning you up asking to have a contract (and i know this 100%) unlike the other way round begging players to come you know you re going to be alright, no team in the league will better our away following. nuff said

Attracting talent

May 3 2002, 12:21 AM

I would have thought that the sort of player who would ring up begging for a contract would have been just the sort to keep clear of (ie one who no-one else would touch with a barge-pole!). I would have thought that the "top" players would sit back and see who would offer them the best deal. I would also have thought that they would probably prefer to play for a team likely to win something with a coach with a proven track-record of success rather than performing missionary work in an outpost in the Midlands. Cultured though the fans down in Lace City are, I cannot see this being sufficient attraction to bring in the best talent! It is interesting that Blaiser managed to put together a better team in a couple of weeks after everyone else had had their pick than the Pussy Cats managed to put together from all of the top stars who rang to play for them last year. Of course, the success that they had last year is sure to make them more attractive this time around!

cant u tell its the close season people must be really bored t start this little gem again, as for best team/fans etc i think we are going to have to agree to disagree, and to be honest i too am far from convinced about adey's ability or otherwise as a coach but hes who we have so i guess we have to like it or lump it. As for blaiser cant fault his ability to get the job done can we. Onto next season lets just wait and see before ANYONE starts polishing those trophies shall we? And finally what a quality picture of a superb shirt demonstrated by a fine figure of a man who might it be scuff i think i want his babies!! ;):)

cheerleading

May 3 2002, 7:58 PM

we e-mailed the sheffield arena management about cheeleading for the steelers next season. but unfortunatly we did not get a reply we have a squad of 15-16 yrs old willing to cheerlead for the sheffield steelers. we will pay for our own outfits and anything else that we will need. please take us seriously as we would be honoured and would do anything to dance for the sheffield steelers please give us a call on 07760452452. thanks siobhan and shereexxx
