Lets break it down though, 1. Music (Intro and Stabs between play) and 2. Interval events.
At the moment I am more interested in No.1. the music for the intro and the stabs. Iam dispointed after much harping on about how he wanted to help that Bobster hasnt been on, though I accept he could be on holiday, my opinion on an intro is that it should be 2 or 3 peices of music that join, Sandstorn has been the only intro i think we have had that was a single track, and it does work well, it will also remain unless anything better come along.
Lets get the intro and music sorted first then move on.
Whilst this is probably not practical (or within our budgets), its definately a laugh. We saw this in Pittsburgh in April this year and thought it would be a great way to spice up the intervals. It could be sponsored either completely by one company or you could get people / companies paying to take part.
I've tried to paste the picture I have of the sumo hockey, but for some reason it won't let me. Any ideas anyone?
This style of hockey or even "Centre Circle" Sumo is a possibility, I will post my email [when Im sure my home pc is working again] and if you would be so kind I would like to see your idea/photos
What about getting little kids to BE the cheerleaders?? There was always a group of them at entrance C, and they knew the moves better than the real cheerleaders!! Why not have, say, 5+ "official" cheerleaders (Over 18), and then allow, say, 5-10 kids a game up on the stage with them? (Even change over every period if loads of kids want to do it). Just make sure their parents are in the arena (say, they have to have a parent's signature witnessed by whoever's in charge)and make it plain that it's their responsibility if something goes wrong. If it's really popular, you could have cheerleaders in entrance B and C, and let the "extra" kids go down there?
Is it not possible that they could change the age to over 16 or is it something to do with insurance. There were some girls on here a few months ago begging for someone to contact the about being cheerleaders.
