Well

To me this is more depressing than Allison going to Panthers (a move that didnt bother me so much). This does bother me, always hoped the lad would return to sheffield if he came back to the ISL, but he aint , ah well.. life goes on.. what next Priestley to London?

This is a big coup for the Storm, and tho i wish Dave all the luck in the world, I have to wonder what his reasoning is for moving to the Storm. This is not meant as any disrespect to our Manc cousins, but I am pondering on why we couldnt attract Lobby back...or if indeed he was wanted back here..The latter I could live with as I reckon Blaiser hasnt failed us so far...The former could be a problem.

i have a feeling young lobby is gonna punish us this season..

with a heavy heart...

I remember.....

May 31 2002, 7:22 PM

.....being VERY drunk in the Notts arena foyer after the playoff final and approaching lobby to ask if he was coming back to sheffield and he said "not next season but im pretty sure one day". This was most likely before the thought of going to live in Manc crossed his mind, but whatever happens i wish him luck, he will always be one of my favourite steelers players of the past and i will cheer him every time i see him play next season in a storm shirt.

For what it's worth......

I can't say I'm too bothered about Lobby joining the Storm. In my opinion he'll take a big chunk out of the Storm budget and in all honesty he aint such a great player. He had a superb season when we won the Grand Slam, but before that he was very average.

Just ask yourself, why has he left Sweden, perhaps he just wasn't upto standard...does anybody know his stats?

The thing is with Lobby, people get carried away with him because he's British and in reality this adds something to his cost. Get the money spent on getting trick Brebant back, now that guy is a star.

Lobby - Good luck

June 1 2002, 12:09 AM

I hope he has a great season (except against us) but one thing i do hope is that the Manchester fans give him the respect he deserves. When I say that, I mena that he is a Manchester player, not a former Steeler going down a level, as found by short to a degree, but mainly torchia.

You are lucky to have such a talented individual, do enjoy the hockey. He is now wearing YOUR jersey, support him.
