For a start I'll accept:

the result, the attendance and the grins on most folks faces after that game and that result..

Granted Panthers were poor and played the game TOTALLY wrong, but hells teeth, some of the hockey played by us at time (mainly in the second period) was frankly scary..And whats more, the lads played with big daft grins on their faces..

From what Blaiser said afterwards, there will be VERY FEW games this season when his team will be accused of not performing to their full potential..and on tonights performance, I have no reason to doubt this.
Mr Levins also appeared to enjoy his new found status as a god in sheffield..very understated in his comments (he reckons he hasnt played to his full potential yet- he thought he had a 'good' game tonight - that was just GOOD ?)but can be seriously pleased with his contribution

A word on the pre match entertainment.I do hope that none of our cousins down the M1 take umbrage at the little 'show with Darth and Steeler Dan..considering the cheesyness of it all, I and many others around us thought it was hilarious and brought back memories of Dan doing his famous 'entries' of years gone by..MORE PLEASE simmsy and ents people..

nice to see the Panthers lads and lasses in the pub afterwards, bearing the result and the game stoically..Texpef especially was 'complimentary' about Mr Bonifarce, yet had the grace to acknowledge the best team comprhensively winning..

I love this game...

lets see what happens tomorrow night eh?

Yep.. the Steelers were awesome at times although a poor line change let the panthers score one of their goals. Nice to see the youn'uns get a few minutes out there as well. As for Nottingham ? , well they tried a goon show tonight and to be fair it worked.. it got the steelers fans laughing anyway.. at the scoreboard. And will someone tell Bonifarce that the correct penalty for a high stick drawing blood is a 2 + 10.

Bit dissapointed at seeing the Panthers fans leaving early (tongue firmly etc etc), some even missed Calle's Goal. Even the team followed suit at the MOM awards by leaving early. Doddy did show some passion for his team and at one point kissed his shirt, he does look nice in yellow!!! I am sure that Panthers will improve as the season goes on and especially when they get to full strength. Allison would be missed by any team (apart, perhaps from this "new" sheffield line up. It has though set the right mood for further encounters this season.
