A few thoughts

Having visited the Hallam Fm Arena for the first time in a couple of years.....

1) Hitchy. Drink less. Expose less
2) Since when have rink announcers been allowed to start chants for the crowd?
3) Is the Sheffield crowd capable of starting their own chants?
4) "IS THERE ANY NOISE FOR THE SHEFFIELD STEELERS???" - no Dave, it's still very quite when you turn the Mic off. It really is just you
5) You guys should hope and pray that your promotional campaign in January works. If you can only get 4257 in for a game on a Sunday over Christmas I'd be very worried
6) Doesn't a certain KM taking photos on the ice during period breaks present problems when the ice inevitably cracks
7) Every rink should have a Travel Inn just across the road from the rink and numerous pubs!
8) It's still bloody cold oop norf....

Isn't it strange that the Welsh turn up here and not on the official forum.

Can't hack it in the real world eh Gethin?

Ooooh - there's brave :-)

January 2 2003, 7:39 PM

And there was me using my real name (or at least any name...)

Can't hack it in the real world? That's why I give the official site a miss - read it a couple of times and everyone there seems to be on something - must be the local water

I am always amazed at how well kids under the age of 5 can use computers and the internet these days.

My response.....

January 4 2003, 10:26 AM

1. Agreed.....but that’s what students do

2. Why not? It doesn’t matter to me who creates the atmosphere at a game, it all adds to the enjoyment.

3. Yes. Didn’t you read the Panthers Cage forum after we beat them the other month? All the Panthers fans were talking about was how they could generate more noise at their games to compete with us.

4. Agreed, it was very quiet at both Christmas games. Who knows why, perhaps since the loss of the Storm/Eagles everyone is now just going through the motions until the end of the season.

5. Agreed. I think this is partly due to the fact that the prices are now too much for families to attend and many are now picking and choosing their games. I think most could only afford 1 game over Christmas and obviously that was going to be against the Panthers.
Whilst on that, am I alone in thinking that Boxing Days crowd was much bigger than the 7,200 published. I couldn’t see how many supporters were in blocks 119, 120, 219 and 220, but unless they were empty, I’d have put the crowd at nearer 7,800.

6. Not worthy of a response.

7. Agreed

8. Get yerself some thermal undies

Regards

Doom
