ISL: Goodbye Basingstoke, Cardiff, Newcastle, Ayr, Manchester, Glasgow, Bracknell and maybe London.
Is this going to be the final straw for the ISL?
London arena to be redeveloped.
Where will London Knights play?

Take this with a pinch of salt but there is talk of the ISL continuing with Manchester up and running with an owner previously interested in the Steelers.

This could be explained if the BNL didn't want any ISL club and are happy to carry on with the current situation.

Best thing is to enjoy what we have left of this season and if there is hockey next season then that's a bonus.

This brings me nicely to should the Sheffield Scimitars apply for BNL entry since they are kicking ass in the lower league? They could play out of the new ice rink. This would be good for the young developed players but potential bad news for Steelers.

a bridge too far?

I personally think that the BNL would be a bridge too far for the Scimitars'organisation in the short-term.

The ENHL Premier Division would be the logical step to take, particularly as there is another nice little local rivalry just waiting to happen i.e. the Nottingham Lions; also, the overheads would be much lower. With BNL, you are looking at recruiting a number of imports to be competitive.

With the current squad alone, they should be capable of holding their own in the ENHL Premier.

It'll be like the Steelers all over again. This is the level we started out at, although in those days it was known as ELD1.
