Hmm .. who made that statement though.
It flatly contradicts facts of which I am aware.
Lets look at some evidence..
Fact: The forum has been removed
Fact: Kerry was not the forum owner,just a moderator.
Fact: Kerry's "resignation" was caused by an alleged attempt at interference in the running of the forum by a member of the SSSC.
Deduction : Whatever has happened has also affected the forum owner ( Mark )to such an extent that he thought that taking the forum offline was the correct action or that he has been ordered to do so.
Question.
Have any members of the Steelers management team been involved in this ?.
On the ssc homepage just scroll down.on the right handside below tricky ricky's emblem there is a statement from the sssc towers.Now i don't know how old this is but make your own minds up.

I've just visited the SSSC site...unbelievable..it would appear that if you are a member of the SSSC you are not allowed to take part in any public debate on any matter that involves criticism of the SSSC.
Well... ok .. I'll accept that as far as committee members are involved.. corporate responsibility and all that stuff.. but ordinary members ?
All I can say is thank God its only a supporters club and not a political party. Room 101 anyone ?
that sort of thing is common place in the hockey world. Similar sort of thing at Manchester last season and this..solved a lot of problems with contentious issues..didnt stop people having opinions and the matter is NOT FORCED upon the people involved..there's nobody holding guns to their heads..
Quite frankly it is scandalous - about time all parties involved took a long hard look at themselves - All that has happened is to deny fans an open forum to discuss and receive information about all things Steelers and hockey
The SSSC statement has IMHO made themselves look above everyone else (almost certainly completely unintentional)
Come on everyone sort it out - PLEASE!
The SSSC sent that e-mail out to me and all the other people who e-mailed them on Sunday about this farce, and the fact that we know that it happened...and yet, they continue to deny it.
It isn't for me to speculate. Suffice it to say that I think that honour was preferable to anything else.
Being as we know nowt about what has gone off on the Official forum (dont frequent it all that often if truth be told) We, the Forum Admin of HOS would politely request that all these postings from 'anonymous' souls please desist from posting about the matter on here..Only Jo has the nads to use her own persona in posting and the comments and aspersions cast in this thread are highly questionable in their make up. the use of anonymous postings on a matter is frowned upon on this forum, especially on a subject like this.
Mark, jo and Kerry do a decent job over on the Official site and as such have the say so on what happens on it..the use of such forums as that and this are PRIVILEDGES and as such should not be abused (before anyone starts howling about 'freedom of speech' )..if anyone disagrees with that premise, then they should start up their own GB or whatever..and then wait till somebody posts summat contentious!
By all means post on hockey matters..not the politics side of it please..

On a point of order mr admin.. I left my email address on all my posts so it wasnt anonymous. I'll tell you what.. I may create a thread on another forum so that truth can be heard somewhere.....
seek the truth elsewhere..like it really matters in the grand scheme of things..wouldnt it be more important to spend yer energies supporting the team?

Having now had time to peruse the statement from SSSC on this matter, i actually agree with you..but this is not the place to debate it..thank you for taking the action you have young man..

Ok Scuff.. I have taken the "debate" such as it is to another forum created specifically to deal with this subject. I am not "anti" SSSC having had no dealings with them in the past , however this incident has really got me angry with them .. especially as I know far more than I dare post at the moment.
