Walter's Daughter

This is Penny, Walt and Joan's youngest daughter. WOW, I grew up at the station "In the heart of the Swamp". I spent most of my summers out in the "backyard swamp", it was lots of fun and lots of treasure was found there.

Does anyone else remember "The stairway to the stars"?

After the fire, all the stuff that didn't burn was put in our basement. Our house stunk for years after. Sorry I don't remember what happened to the copper scrap. My dad and I use to do the local remotes, I still remember hauling all the cable around at the football games.

So many memories were stirred after finding this site.
My dad, Walt Johnson, died Jan 1, 1990. He loved that station and would be thrilled that so many people remember the station so fondly.
