Oh, wow!

I just Googled on WRKL and ended up here. Didn't know the station had closed; that's too bad. Everything moves, I guess.

I remember being a kid in Rockland in the 60's and 70's. Once (no idea when it was) my Dad and I went down to the actual WRKL station (I remember it as sort of a trailer sitting in a swamp, with a big antenna out back; no idea if that's an accurate memory!), and I looked in through the window, and whoever was on at the time said (over the air!) something about this red-headed kid who was looking at him through the window. Fame! My first media appearance, tx to the local radio station. Them was truly the days... *8)
