Connie Caes checking in!
Came to WRKL looking to do commercial voice over spots.
Steve Roy and I could knock one out in just two takes. Piece of cake!
Steve Possell liked my voice and taught me to run the board. Wound up filling in when necessary and doing a Saturday Night spot in summer. Also sold "air time" for a stretch. It was a great time!
Left radio to pursue an acting career. Did some commercials, soaps (under 5s) and "Way, Way off-Broadway, almost in Jersey! Was involved in the final re-writes for "Runaway Train" starring John Voight.
Gave it all up so we didn't have to take turns eating anymore and my kids could have more than one pair of shoes.
Currently, I have a small advertising and dog training business. Also work at the local hospital in the Operating Room Office. Now that gig is the wildest ride I have ever had.
Do I ever think of going back into radio??????
Would love to do some voiceovers. Really hated being live on the air cause I'm clostrophobic (however you spell it) and hate being in the studio with headphones on. I always had to crank the air conditioning way up to compensate for it.
If anybody I know is out there, give a shout!
