My Mother was Diane LeVine, she was one (don't know how many there were) of the original field news reporters for WRKL from approx 1964 to 1969, I remember her sitting at the kitchen table and recording (on an old cassette recorder) her reports and then phoning them in to WRKL (I was probably 5 years old when I remember the first time). I went many times with her to the station and I remember the "egg carton" sound proofing that was used on the roof and walls. She was a political reporter and had a Rockland County "Special Deputy's" Badge and credentials (which I still have) that were procured for her by Al Spiro so she could attend certain meetings that weren't open to other reporters. I was always in awe of that Badge and her reporting and hearing her on the radio in those days.
