      Geraldine Martinez, the office manager at WRKL for 27 years, passed away on April 11, 2009. She was 88 years old. Geri was hired by WRKL's founder Al Spiro in 1968, shortly before he had his heart attack, and she remained at the station through several ownership changes, retiring not long after Odyssey Communications took over in 1995. She'll be remembered by everyone who ever passed through WRKL as the consumate professional she was. Rest in Peace, Geri.
