I just posted a message to Bro in response to Selim/Kars. I will write the same message to you in hopes you may help me regarding the exact location of the village of Karakala. I am a descendant of the Armenian Molokans, most of whom lived in Karakala in the Kars region. On a trip to Kars in 1999, we thought we found the location where Karakala might have been, between Taslica and Incesu, around 15 km north of Kars. We know it was an abandoned Russian military outpost. In an old photo we see a hilly area in the background. Then there is today another Karakale, south of Kars but don't know anything about the geography. Any information will be appreciated. Thank you.
