I've just posted two messages inquiring about the village of Karakala in the Kars region. I am a descendant of the Armenian Molokan community most of whom lived in Karakala. In 1999 we thought we found the remains of Karakala that was located between Taslica and Incesu. But now I see another Karakale south of Kars and am wondering if this could be the one. We know that our Karakala was an abandoned Russian military outpost. Unfortunately I did not visit the old section where my great grandfather bought a beautiful rooster which they took with them to America. I am still experiencing the emotional impact when we landed at the Kars airport. Any information would be appreciated! jbivin@pbmo.net
