In addition to that title I'ld recommend another book in German to those who are interested in the fundamental change of ethnical, economical and cultural life in eastern Anatolia since the 19th century. It deals with the changes of settlement patterns in the once prevalent Armenian valley of Hayoths Dzor [south-east of the city of Van]:
