I've just come across a review of the book by Patrick Donabedian.
It is found here:https://halshs.archives-ouvertes.fr/halshs-01524809/document
It appears to be a fair review, correctly assessing that the volume is not intended to be a comprehensive architectural analysis of the three monuments being considered, but is a focused, almost forensic, study of aspects of the monuments that might reveal the circumstances of, and backgrounds to, their construction. The review gets, imo, overly microscopic in some of its criticism (like noting the misspelling of Alaman) while pointing out more significant and obvious omissions like the lack of an accurate plan of the Mren cathedral. Overall, he is very positive of the book.
