      Dear Bill,

I am a Kurdish man from Kars. My family is from a Kurdish village in Selim. I remember from my parents telling me there were one or two Russian/Molakan families living in our village. I don't know if there are any Molakans left there. I belive they must have immigrated to USA and elsewhere in the sixties. I even remember my father talking about the man who owned the mill along the stream in our village was Vaso (or Kurds called him Vaso maybe Vasilie). Kurds used to bring their wheat to his mill.

I was born and raised in Kars. I remember a Molakan family in Kars when I was a kid. I don't remember if they are still in Kars or not.
