  • Lion Inn - Miles away but not in mind

    • Posted Dec 21, 2007 11:39 PM

was First introduced to the Lion Inn - a long time ago one Easter - early 1980's I think... Camped in the field out the back asking for permission first of course. Collected our water through the kitchen window !!

never asked for a penny for camping - but we made up for it in drinking all the Real Ale, ok not all but lots!!

Years later of course, it was sensible to charge for the privilege - now it has been taken away - rightly so - although again the majority were probably not abusing the back garden camping facilities...

I had my stag weekend there in October 1995 and I stayed the night.

Sadly I don't get there as much as I use to - once a year on average...

Can I ask are you a free house - as you always have Theakstons Beers on - no issues with that. Peculier always good - would be great to see some Black Sheep or other local brews there as well Cropton Brewery for example, as guest perhaps.

Hope to see the Lion Inn again in 2008

regards to all - owners, landlord landlady, proprieters, customers...
      Paul.
