I'm from Singapore and passed The Lion Inn whilst doing the Coast to Coast Walk. Before I reached The Lion Inn, my right boot started falling apart and the sole started flapping around! However, I made it to The Lion Inn and had lunch there.
I asked the counter staff whether I could borrow some electrical duct tape to hold my boot together. A very kind gentleman with spectacles and a striped shirt handed me a roll of silver electrical tape. When I offered to buy the roll of tape he very kindly told me to keep it.
Well, thanks to his generous act, I was able to complete the Coast to Coast Walk, having had to tape my boot 5 times!! I could not have done it without his help and I would just like to say a big THANKS!! to him.
