We have been coming up to Blakey for 20 years and never once have we left not wanting to come back again. I booked every room this time last year for my husbands SURPRISE 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY on the 17th February. The staff were wonderful, the bedrooms very comfortable, the meals were excellent and our 20 or so guests had a wonderful time. Most of all my husband who enjoyed his favourite tipple Old Peculier! His closest lifelong friends, some he had not seen for nearly 30 years, arrived throughout the afternoon and together with our family we had the most excellent time anyone could possibly have. We booked in 2007 to bring our family to The Lion for the weekend before Christmas and once again a great time was had by all, however, the Old Rosie was flowing freely....Don't know if you remember but my daughter, slightly tipsy, ordered at the bar, for dad his Old P. for mum her red wine and for herself a pint of NOSEY ROSEY!!!! xxx ---. Good job we didn't have to drive home. The weather was dreadful, but the weekend was fabulous. We are hoping to book, albeit for just a few of us to come up for his birthday again this month. We look forward to seeing you on the 17th unless you have four rooms available for Saturday 16th, for 3 twin bed, and 1 3 bed..I will phone tomorrow to confirm. Here's hoping, cheers Enid Gale
