I came up and stayed at The Lion a couple of weekends ago. It was amazing!
The snow was deep, the views were beautiful and the pub itself was fantastic. My girlfriend had never been to Yorkshire before so it was an ideal way to introduce her to the "homeland". Plus the selection of Theakston's was just heaven - I think it's fair to say it was the best weekend I have had for some time.
As someone who grew up near Beverley and being a Boro fan with parents from Redcar, I have driven past the Lion hundreds of times as a child and always wondered what it was like. As I say, it was fantastic so thank you for a great weekend.
