It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to have a nice meal at the Lion Inn, so decided to stay over and make it into a short break. Our room wasn't the one we would have chosen as it was above the bar. But it was the only one left when we booked. At least we knew what to expect, because the description of the room on internet site explains that it was above the bar, so we braced ourselves for a noisy night. It turned out that it went very quiet after 11.30pm so we had a good night's sleep. Our meal was fabulous (as always when we've visited before). Breakfast very nice too, although couldn't manage the cooked breakfast after the heavy meal. Very friendly atmosphere, would recomend it, and would stay again.
