Unfortunately, I am disabled and need to walk slowly and watch where I am stepping. Last
Saturday we went for a meal at the Lion where the food, service and ambiance were first class. however, on the way into the dining room I encountered a low archway, which caused quite a serious injury to the top of my bald head.
On the way out I noticed that the other side of the arch had some carpet tacked onto it, if there had been carpet the other side maybe my injury would not been so bad.
May I suggest that management cushion this archway in some manner to prevent injury to other diners.
Thanks for the suggestion and sorry to hear about you head. This is one of the problems with the building being built 600 years ago by the order of "Crouched Friars"! I'll see what we can do to make it safer.
