The road across Blakey Ridge is totally fine at the moment, but things can change very quickly. I suggest you give us a ring nearer the time.

Update 4pm Wed 6/1/10

Following heavy overnight snow and strong winds the council have blocked the Blakey Ridge road with snow walls to prevent access, as it has become impossible to snow plough.

Further updates will follow if anything changes.

Thurs 7/1/10

The road is still closed with more heavy snow.

The Lion Inn is now closed for business until the road is re-opened.
