How to connect USB ports at the front of the desktop case

November 21 2003 at 8:51 AM

My Desktop case has 2 USB port in front for convenience. I have 2 sets of wires which marked VNC, +, -, GND ( total 8 loose wires, not grouped as a single adapter ). However, the extra USB connection on my motherboard has 10 pins. Which wire correspond to which pin? Which pin do I skip?

Looking at the pins at the edge of the motherboard they go like this....

vc2, data-2, data+2, ground2

vc1, data-1, data+1, ground1

the 9th plug does not need to be plugged in (at least for mine).
