For the first time, I'm going to build a PC. I'm feeling confident about the whole process, but I do have one question, so far. I want to use the hard drive from my old computer in my new one.
What do I have to do to it?
I have my XP install disc and all the install discs for all my programs, so if I have to wipe the thing clean, I can do that. But do I have to? If I can avoid erasing everything and going through the trouble of putting it all back on, I'm willing to do that. I just want to save myself from unnecessary work.
