Is everything compatible with eachother?

im gonna build my own computer, im building a gaming computer as i play new games that demands the very best. So is this stuff compatible with eachother and would it run smoothly? also tell me your thoughts the pc im building.

Motherboard - Intel D975XBX Motherboard
CPU - Intel Pentium D 930(or 940, havnt decided yet), Dual-Core processor
Hard Drive - Maxtor/DiamondMax10/160GB/7200rpm
RAM - Ultra 1024mb PC4200 DDR2 533Mhz memory (x2 so 2 GB RAM)
Graphics Card - Radeon X1300 512mb PCI - Express graphics Card

This is the main stuff i need to have a working computer right?

other stuff on computer
Operating system - Windows XP Pro
CD-Rom and DVD-rom ( gonna use the one from my Dimenstion Dell 4500)
Ethernet Card 10/100
Sound Card - Can i use the one from my dimenstion 4500? or will i have to purchase a new one? Price?
USB Card - im not sure if i need one. does the D975xbx motherboard come with one? if not how much are they.

Am i missing anything required to make this computer work? Will this be a good gaming machine, will it rock? im guessing it will cost me about $1500 to make(i live in Canada) If im missing anything please tell me and give me a price range in CAD currency.
