Good thing the Chiefs got Zielonka from the Express as their struggles to score would be even worse. If they could only muster 2 goals against the depleted Capitals they certainly cannot expect to compete against elite teams like Victoria, Surrey, and Penticton. Chilliwack still has a player to give up to the Express for the future considerations and I wonder who that would be. After 3 games they appear to be no better off!
The Cheifs will be ok, I myself was more disappointed in the crowd sizes on th island. Victoria announced 1300 but the only way that was close is if you counted everybody twice. It also has to be the quietest building in the league, except when the guy got to shoot for $10000. Duncan fans not showing up I understand, I wouldn't want to watch that team either.
The only place that has seen a consistency of people showing up is Chilliwack. Everyone else has declined (unless you're small market then an increase is possible)
4 points out of 6 on the weekend with the line up we had not too bad.. ok ?
A win is a win is all I have to say about the CV game. (didn't see it)
Something happened just before break that put the team off it's game and it was likely injuries.... at least I hope that was it.
But it often happens in Jr. hockey that teams have swings in their ability to be at the top of their game. I'm pretty sure that things will be ok long run and that the addition of the two guys certainly has us better off than before the trade.
Looking forward to a full roster and some time for the new guys to fit in.
besides a few taller chubby players you got a team thats got no team tuffness they are wusses that high stick and challenge smaller players...as for your town of hockey it sucks too..must be nice to have a rink by farms and nothing really to do but wait for traffic to go by..the island blows your area by miles...oh ya quiet rinks cause they know hockey..your fans are always screamimg i suppose..go chiefs go...they have horns and clowns like you that chirp all game..wow thats loud..so cool too..no wonder you hang out at the beer gardens...
You are right again hg. The island is great but Duncan is the armpit of it, couldn't find a damn thing to do there before the game. The best part of watching a game in Duncan is the fact we got to leave town when it was over. The reason I am in the beer garden at the stick is it's the best place to stand to watch a game. I actually don't drink at games but the high class fans beside me managed 4 a period then talked about driving to the bar after the game. You talk about your team being tough and smashing everybody, from what I've seen of them, the only thing they smashed is the hopes of Cow Valley fans having a decent team to watch. Try to have a witty reply please but I like most on this site am tired of dealing with you and no longer will. Asked a few folks at the game what they thought of hg and all of them said they wish you cheered for some other team.
Perhaps it usually isn't, but it was on saturday evening. Aside from the silly 1-2-3 cheer after Grizz goals there was no noise at all. Must admit to liking Bear Mountain for watching a game, the size of this rink is ideal for the bchl.
MUST BE A MAN WHO HAS GONE THRU FEW UPS AND DOWNS BY THE WAY YOU TALK ON HERE..DUNCAN IS NOT ALL ABOUT NOTHING TO DO..BESIDES YOU HAVE NO CLUE HOW MANY THINGS THERE ARE TO DO..YOU WILL SEE THAT YOUR CHIEFS WILL BE OUT EARLY THE PLAYOFFS..IF FANS REPERESENT YOU THEN YOUR CHILWACK IS A HORRIBLE PLACE..HOPE YOU ENJOY ALL THE SHOOTINGS AND CRIME OVER THERE TOO..
Touched a nerve again did I hg. Got you back to yelling in Caps. The Chiefs may be gone early in the playoffs but at least they'll be in the playoffs again. All these ups and downs and yet I have the pleasure of watching the Chiefs in the playoffs year after year. How about you and your Caps? I do not believe myself to be a sad Chiefs fan but you are entitled to you opinion, had you had the guts to talk to me at the game you might actually have a clue as to what I am really like. I like to think I represent [note spelling hg] Chiefs fan reasonably well as I know and talk with many other fans at all rinks when I am there.
