Response to Joe world class, but why no declaration?

Mike...I think given the frailty of our batting against top opposition the idea to bat on is a good one. Think big picture...it will do the lads' confidence the world of good to bat a long time against the Windies A bowling. With the series win in the one dayers and a solid draw in the 2 day game Canada can walk away with great pride and the knowledge that they can compete.

Joe emailed me a couple of weeks ago and said he felt they would do pretty well against this Windies team. Personally I figured that was just wishful thinking. Kudos to him and the rest of the lads. Thus far it has been a complete success.

We may all have an axe to grind with the CCA about many things but they do appear to have the right players doing the job at present.

On another issue, I do hope that they will get real cricket attire to wear at the WC. Umbro soccer shirts really don't cut it do they....
