I would be in favour of a Canadian elite league based in the GTA (from a practical point of view) where the best players in the country could play. However, we still need the inter-provincial tournament. It gives players a goal to aspire to and fosters interest and rivalries in the various cricket communities. But another important reason to hold the tournament is that it is one of the criteria for obtaining Sport Canada funding for the CCA.
