It doesn't hurt. Remember I also had said, that if he proves himself worthy here, then fine. He should prove himself at the Ntl's first before getting picked just like everyone else.
John Davison played his heart out for us. He was a example of the professionalism that we need in the game here. You should be grateful he played for us. Yes I agree we need to look at our own players, but if the guy qualifies why not look him up. Anyone who can bring any more professionalism to the game here, deserves a shot. Just look at the county teams in England. They are full of oversea players, who are the prime example of cricketing professionals.
Yes I believe we should look at our own boys first, but it still would not hurt to ask the guy to play a season here and prove himself like everyone else. Certainly I don't think that giving him a free entry to the team would do our homegrown talent justice.
