just don't get it

Well, this is the typical attitude we've come to expect from the immigrant
cricket community--defensive and hostile--when its even
suggested that cricket has to be taken mainstream.
Yup, we certainly do have a local "talent pool" and,
yup, the immigrant community certainly has kept cricket "alive" in Canada. But it should be pretty clear Canada will never be internationally competitive by relying solely on the immigrant cricket community. The persistent refusal of the
immigrant community to come to terms with this is
probably the single biggest obstacle to the game's
progress in Canada.
