Stephanie Cornett from Council was crowned Miss Dickenson County Fair.

Caitlin Stanley from Clintwood was crowned Teen Miss Dickenson County Fair.

Isn't Council in Buchanan County? Is this allowed? Well I guess obviously it is.

good question...i would think you would have to reside in dickenson county to be ms dickenson county, lol. next think you know miss usa will be from mexico city

I think that you should live in Dickenson County to be crowned Miss Dickenson County. (jmo)

My understanding was that a long time ago that's how it was, but in recent years not enough girls decided to enter the pagent (in county) so they had to open it up to other counties to have enough girls to compete.

The Fair could not afford to do the pageant if they did not open it up.

Speaking of the Fair: wonder how the whole thing "faired?" I don't think it could have gone too well, considering the numbers there.

Well I heard someone talking that works with the fair commity (spelled wrong Im sure) but anyways they said that if they would stop letting so many people have free passes that the fair would come out better, but like the venders up there, they would have like 7 or 8 in one night for one vender trailor and it doesnt take that many to run one in a night so people were just using their vendors passes to get in free.

As a contestant of the Miss Dickenson County Fair pageant, I would just like to say it was an enjoyable experience. I personally found of my fellow contestants to be very intelligent, kind, and lovely young women. It was a wonderful life experience and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to have met all of them.
