Campaign Signs DestroyedAugust 16 2007 at 6:37 PM | Drive By Observer |
| Drove by the Woods Property on the right side going in to Riverside outside Clinchco. William Perry had a large and a small campaign sign in their yard. They had been hacked to pieces probably with a large knife or machete. I called him at the Elementary school and ttold him. First of all I know this is a hot contest but destroying signs is a sure way of getting the other side votes. If RR supporters are doing this they are costing their candidate votes. Please lets leave everyones signs alone and conduct a political campaign the old fashioned way. |

Are you the person or persons who are doing this ignorant act of vandalism?? If so I hope they catch you and throw away the key. Perry supporters are not destroying his signs > It does not take a rocket scientest to figure this one out. This act is a simple act of intimidation on a political candidate. Notice the method of destroying the signs. Slashing them with a large knife or machete is intended to leave a message to Perry. Does this bring back what happened earlier in the year in Dickenson Co. involving slashing, cutting and mutilation???? No stealing of signs or throwing away signs involved here. A threat to BACK OFF OR ELSE??? is the obvious message. Pictures have been made and turned over to state authorties along with evidence. I can tell you this . The person or persons who did this have violated laws that are far more serious then destruction of a campaign sign. | |
