I understood the play on words and the joke involved therein. I knew you were taking a stab at comedy but the reason I made the post was that it seemed you also meant to highlight your displeasure with the subject matter. I apologize for being overly astute. Of course you were guilty of the same in your last post.
Well, this year Haysi is DEFINITELY the underdog. We lost about 7 starters on each side of the ball, while the Wave only lost a couple. Further, Clintwood beat us in Regionals last year and should have the confidence and momentum. Having said that, I still believe our kids will pull this game out with a lot of heart and good coaching. My prediction - Haysi 35 Wave 32. What do you guys think?
no matter who wins, it will be a war from start to finish! Let's hope and pray all stay healthy, and the victor can win with class and the loser do likewise.
When i went to school at Haysi we used to go to the football field during phys ed class and play flag football and the loosers had to run back to Haysi High ,,my brother and another got caught swimming across the river to the road going back to the High school rather that run up to the bridge and back down the other side..LOL Anyway wishing Haysi the very best against Clintwood this season..
No the football field is in the same place as it is now..the phys ed teacher in those days used to make us run back from the football field if we lost the flag football game ..The teacher was Bob Baker,,he ran us a lot ..He used to make us run back and forth in the gym for the whole period..Not round and round but back and forth..that was really tough with all the starting and stopping..My brother Larry Edwards and his friend Guy Barton got caught swimming across the river at where the football field is today ,,they were taking a short cut back to the high school...
