I do have my good days and bad. Lately they have been more bad than good. The new Chemo that I am on really drains me strength wise. Some days I can barely get out of bed and when I do have the strength I try to do as much as possible and usually end up overdoing it. But I just can't sit around and waste away to nothing. I tried just sitting around for a couple of days and almost went crazy.
Walking is the most hardest, even though I have lost 75 pounds I still have a hard time walking down to the road and back. I was cutting a few weeds around the first of the Month and almost didn't make it back to the house when I went down in the front yard.
My oldest son has been helping me some. My wife does all the mowing now and my father-in-law has come over and helped cut the weeds around the yard too.
I would also like to thank the Haysi Volunteer Fire Department. The dedicated members came over one Saturday and cut a limb out of the Walnut Tree in my front yard that was hanging over our Home.
They had thrown me a suprise Birthday Party complete with Fire Trucks, Sirens, Redlights, Cake and Ice Cream. They even took me for a ride in Engine 10 and I got to play with the Siren. While they were here they noticed the limb hanging dangerously low and volunteered to come cut it.
I wish I could name all the people that have been so kind hearted to help my family out in this rough time we are having but I could not begin to make a list of them all it is so large.
You really don't know how many Real Freinds you have until you get down and can't do for yourself.
I think of the song by Tracy Lawrence, "Find Out Who Your Friends Are".
you got on here and started to talk, say your doing so so. thats good to here! remember here comes help, here comes action, here comes BUFORD!!!!!! take care of your self. be talking at soon.
